Use of this site is subject to these terms. They are short because the site does very little: it publishes figures and does arithmetic on them.
Estimates, not quotes
Every cost figure on this site is an estimate expressed as a range, derived from published third-party data. It is not a quote, not an offer, and not a price anyone has agreed to honour. Actual costs depend on the specific property and the electrician doing the work.
Not electrical advice
The load calculation implements NEC 220.87 and NEC 625.42 as published, using the figures you provide. It is an estimate to inform a conversation with a licensed electrician, not a substitute for one. Local amendments to the NEC vary by jurisdiction, and the authority having jurisdiction decides what is acceptable in your area — not this site.
Do not use the printable worksheet as a permit submission or as a basis for doing the work yourself. Hand it to a licensed electrician as a starting point.
Not tax advice
The federal 30C credit expired on 30 June 2026. The retroactive claim discussed on this site depends on the placed-in-service date and on a census tract test tied to your exact property address. Confirm your position with whoever prepares your return.
Rebate data
Rebate programs change without notice. Amounts, eligibility rules and funding availability are checked monthly and each figure carries the date it was checked. A figure marked UNVERIFIED has not been confirmed against the utility’s own current terms. Always confirm with the utility before relying on a rebate, and note that most programs are first-come, first-served against a fixed budget.

The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss arising from reliance on figures, calculations or code references published here.
Content and reuse
The compiled data, wording and design of this site are ours. Quoting a figure with attribution and a link is welcome and encouraged — that is what a citable source is for. Bulk copying of the rebate dataset is not.

We link to utility terms, IRS instructions, DOE pages and permit portals. We do not control those pages, and part of the point of this site is that some third-party pages are wrong.
