Energy Planner
TECO runs a time-of-use program, but it is not EV-branded — it is called Energy Planner. Free, three-tier, residential.
Standard residential rate 14.235¢/kWh. The low-rate period runs as low as 11.044¢/kWh — a 3.191¢ saving per kilowatt-hour.
The low rate is available 27.7% of hours, the medium rate 58.9%, and the high rate 13.4%. The high tier never applies on weekends or holidays.
It explicitly supports scheduling a Level 2 charger through the online portal. Free programmable thermostat, no enrollment fee, 12-month minimum, broadband required.
Not eligible: net-metered solar customers, and Prime Time Plus participants.
Worth knowing
A homeowner in Tampa is better served by knowing this plainly than by a directory that lists a Florida rebate and lets them find out at the application stage.
