PG&E EV charger rebate

Up to 50% of the charger price on the base rebate. Rebate Plus pays up to $2,000 toward installation, or up to $5,000 where a panel upgrade is included.

Eligibility

  • Base rebate covers up to 50% of the charger's price
  • Rebate Plus requires household income at or below 80% of area median income, or enrollment in CalFresh, Medi-Cal, SSI or WIC
  • One rebate per household
  • Apply within 180 days of install — late applications are not accepted
  • First-come, first-served against a fixed budget

Worth knowing

This is the largest residential program in the country and the panel-upgrade allowance is the part most directories omit. If a panel upgrade is in scope, run the load calculation first — an EVEMS device may make the upgrade unnecessary, which changes which rebate tier applies.
